WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT A WEEK OF MUSIC, AND CULTURE? RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL IS THE PREMIER 'EVENT' WHEN IT COMES TO A SHOWCASE OF THE PIONEERS CRAFTING, AND CURATING THE SOUTH AFRICAN SOUNDSCAPE.

A week-long festival in the heart of Johannesburg kicked off with a mixer featuring Leeu, Langa Mevuso & Zoë Modiga, and Kenzhero. I had the most-amazing chicken burger from a stall inside the space that night. Really blessed. The artists are all masters of their craft but seeing Langa and Zoë's performance was outstanding, and easily the highlight!

Egyptian Lover has a musical career which spans more than three decades, and is an important part of the Los Angeles music scene in the 80s. An analog sound that's proving to be very popular with audiences again (albeit mostly in Germany) brought him all the way to South Africa, and the mysterious &Club in Johannesburg as well as CTEMF in Cape Town.
